About PRC Davao

The Commission was founded with the signing of Presidential Decree No. 223 on June 22, 1973 by President Ferdinand E. Marcos. The first PRC Commissioner, Architect Eric C. Nubla, took office on January 2, 1974.

The Heraldry Commission developed the PRC Coat of Arms, which was officially adopted on February 1, 1974. The Commission established its headquarters at the destroyed Civil Service Commission building on P. Paredes Street in Manila.

The structure was later named the PRC Main Building. The PRC began producing registration certificates in Filipino, with English translations. Proclamation No. 1276 declares June 22-29, 1974 as “Professional Consciousness Week.”
